«A tientas y a ciegas» is the novel by Marta Portal, published by Planeta-DeAgostini in paperback (249 pages, in Spanish).
Sara, a disoriented and selfish woman, falls in love and gives herself to that relationship blindly, though she keeps her ability to decide intact and, if cornered, could remove the blindfold. Then the idea of motherhood comes to meet her and she abandons herself to it out of pure instinct, without choosing or reasoning; only in that absolute blindness does she begin to see clearly.
Novel winner of the Premio Planeta in 1966. The Planeta-DeAgostini edition was published in 1999 within the Premio Planeta collection.
For readers of Spanish fiction who enjoy stories of self-discovery and life decisions.
