«Ab jetzt ist Ruhe: Roman meiner fabelhaften Familie» is a family novel by Marion Brasch, published by Fischer Taschenbuch in paperback (398 pages).
Marion Brasch recalls her childhood in the GDR: her parents, exiled Jews who met in London, settled in East Berlin to realize their ideals. Her three brothers —two writers, one actor— challenged the parental generation; she, the youngest daughter, sought reconciliation. It is an ironic memoir of a vanished country.
Text in German. The original edition was published in 2012; this Fischer Taschenbuch edition is the 6th in the Allgemeine Reihe collection (number 19196).
A work for readers interested in GDR memory, family stories, and German autobiographical literature.
