«Abissínia» is a work of contemporary fiction by Ponç Pons, illustrated by Francesc Calvet; published by Columna CAT in paperback (136 pages, in Catalan).
The book combines poems and short narratives featuring various heteronymous voices, alongside Francesc Calvet's illustrations, heirs to the classic line of the magazine TBO. The whole stands out for its irony, its tenderness and an island accent, and for the richness of registers in Ponç Pons's language.
The work was first published in 1999 in Barcelona and belongs to the Clàssica collection.
Aimed at readers of contemporary literature in Catalan and those who value the fusion of text and image.
