«Absolución por asesinato» is the historical crime and mystery novel by Peter Tremayne, published by Altaya in hardcover (407 pages, in Spanish).
In AD 664, the Synod of Whitby pits the Roman and Celtic Churches against each other. The murder of an abbess leads Sister Fidelma, an Irish nun and advocate of the Brehon court, to investigate with Brother Eadulf. More deaths and false leads complicate the inquiry in seventh-century Ireland.
First installment of the Sister Fidelma series, originally published as «Absolution by Murder» in 1994; this Spanish edition features a translation by David León Gómez.
For readers of historical and mystery fiction who want to start with the first installment of the Sister Fidelma series.
