In 'Adiós, Hemingway', Leonardo Padura presents us with an interesting settling of accounts by Mario Conde with his life and his literary idols. The novel recreates in an unforgettable way the egomaniacal and contradictory Hemingway, cornered by his memories and remorse in the days leading up to his suicide. Mario Conde remembers his visit to Cojímar in 1960, where he met Hemingway. Forty years later, he finds himself involved in a strange case in Finca Vigía: the discovery of human remains with an FBI plaque.
