«Ahueca el ala, Urbano» is the young adult novel by Fernando Claudín, published by Ediciones SM in paperback (144 pages, in Spanish).
Urbano, a fourteen-year-old boy, devises theories about how to «ahuecar el ala» when decay surrounds him. Convinced, he decides to put them into practice and runs away from home to live adventures: he finds a meteorite, works as a statue and meets the supposed Salcedo sisters. With humor, the work champions commitment to the everyday.
The work was published on July 18, 2003 in the Alerta Roja collection, as its number 17.
Recommended reading from age 12 for young people who enjoy adventure and humor stories about everyday life.
