«Ainsi soit-elle» is the feminist essay by Benoîte Groult, published by LGF/Le Livre de Poche in paperback (220 pages, in French).
In this essay, Benoîte Groult denounces that women's rights are precarious and can be lost, even where equality seems established. She criticizes that women have been educated and valued according to the male gaze and male criteria, and calls on them to speak up to defend what has been won, because no one will do it for them.
The work was originally published in 1975; this edition belongs to the Le Livre de Poche collection (number 4915).
Suitable for readers interested in feminism, social essays and the history of women's rights.
Benoîte Groult was a French journalist, writer, and feminist activist.
