«Al otro extremo de la correa» is the canine ethology essay by Patricia B. McConnell, published by Viena in paperback (314 pages, in Spanish).
From everyday scenes (a dog that doesn't come, barks more when asked to be quiet, or seems resigned to a hug), Patricia B. McConnell, an ethologist, explains that humans and dogs use different codes: the former act as primates and the latter as canids. She debunks false disobedience and proposes guidelines to improve training.
The work was published in 2006 and its subtitle is «Por qué a veces nosotros no entendemos a los perros y ellos tampoco nos entienden a nosotros».
Aimed at those who live with a dog and want to better understand its behavior, as well as readers interested in canine training.
