«Álvaro a su aire» is a children's story by Montserrat Del Amo, published by Editorial Bruño in paperback (88 pages, in Spanish).
Álvaro is a thin, dark-haired, left-handed boy with two cowlicks and one arm longer than the other. He is chatty, friendly, and happy: he manages very well with his left hand. The reading follows his attempts to overcome difficulties and win school contests, in a story about self-esteem, friendship, and respect for diversity.
It is part of the Alta Mar collection (no. 155), with illustrations by M.ª Luisa Torcida Álvarez, aimed at the first cycle of Primary Education.
Recommended for children aged 6 to 9 who are beginning to read, and useful in the classroom for working on self-esteem, diversity, and overcoming challenges.
