«América Kafka» is the graphic novel by Daniel Casanave and Robert Cara, published by Ediciones La Cúpula in paperback (228 pages, in Spanish).
The work adapts Franz Kafka's posthumous novel and follows Karl Rossmann, a sixteen-year-old European who travels to New York after a romantic dalliance with a maid, intending to make his fortune. His encounters with the uncle who takes him in and with various characters show him traversing the social contrasts of the city at the beginning of the 20th century.
First edition of 2008, with translation by Francisco Pérez Navarro. Kafka's original novel was published after his death and remained unfinished.
Recommended for young people and adults who want to approach Kafka through comics.
