«Anacaona» is the erotic novel by Vicente Muñoz Puelles, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (204 pages, in Spanish).
Under the dictator's regime, a mathematician evades censorship by devoting his nights to erotic tales. The figure of Anacaona, cacique of the Jaraguá indigenous people of Hispaniola, and the plates of a travel book drag him into a spiral of childhood memories and ancestral worlds where desire, sensuality and freedom appear as a lost paradise.
The novel won the Premio La Sonrisa Vertical and was published in the collection El jardín de las delicias.
For readers of erotic fiction and literary fiction interested in a historical backdrop of repression and censorship.
Vicente Muñoz Puelles is a Spanish author and translator. He has published over 240 books, including over 180 for children and young adults, as well as almost 500 articles on literary criticism and fiction.
