«Andanzas del Lazarillo de Tormes» is the children's adaptation of the Spanish classic by Concha López Narváez (Bruño, paperback, 168 pp., in Spanish).
Lázaro is born in Salamanca, by the river Tormes; he is very poor and from childhood must fend for himself to survive in an unkind world. The original work, written for adults, has a child as its protagonist, and Concha López Narváez brings it closer to the youngest with simple, accessible language.
It includes a prologue by Luis Mateo Díez and is the second title in Bruño's «Andanzas» collection.
Recommended for readers aged 10 and up, especially as school reading or a first approach to the classics in Spanish.
