«Anecdotario de la Guerra Civil Española» is an anecdotal history by Fernando Díaz-Plaja, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (348 pages, in Spanish).
Fernando Díaz-Plaja follows the military and political development of the Spanish Civil War, showing the human side of the conflict in both zones. Among concrete cases and small episodes, cruelty and selfishness emerge, but also nobility and generosity, in a portrait far from the official account.
This book, published in June 1998, bears the subtitle «La otra cara de la contienda en ambas zonas» and belongs to the Historia Viva collection.
For university students and general readers interested in the military history of Spain.
