«Antologia de contes catalans I» is the anthology of Catalan short stories by Joaquim Molas, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (432 pages, in Catalan).
The volume brings together short stories from Catalan literature with an introductory text by Joaquim Molas, explaining why the short story was a widely cultivated genre in Catalonia in periods such as 1865-1882, 1912-1925 and 1939-1956, for political, social, linguistic and aesthetic reasons.
Originally published in 1982, it is part of the series «Les Millors Obres de la Literatura Catalana» (MOLC) as volume I of the anthology.
Spanish professor, literary historian and writer (1930-2015)
