«Apeirogon» is the novel by Irish writer Colum McCann, published in paperback by 10 X 18 (648 pages, in French).
The novel tells the true story of Rami Elhanan, an Israeli, and Bassam Aramin, a Palestinian, two fathers united by the loss of their daughters in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. After mourning, both decide to tell their story and fight for peace. The title alludes to the apeirogon, a geometric figure with infinite sides that inspires the work's form.
Translated by Clément Baude from English (Ireland). Winner of the Prix du Meilleur Livre Étranger 2020, the Prix Montluc Résistance et Liberté 2021 and the Grand Prix des Lectrices Elle.
A read for book clubs and for readers of contemporary literary fiction with an interest in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
