«Aquel diluvio de otoño» is the contemporary novel by Carlos Andrade Caamaño, published by Ediciones Nowtilus in paperback (384 pages, in Spanish).
The novel contrasts the fight for the world lightweight title at Madison Square Garden between Bruno Broa and boxer Ñato Pólvora Herrera with the story of Orestes Lagoa, a boy from the Galician village of Nublos. The Lagoa family, marked by death, poverty and Francoism, stars in a choral tale about childhood and redemption.
Published in 2007 in the Narrativa Nowtilus collection, it is Carlos Andrade Caamaño's first novel.
For readers of literary fiction seeking choral stories set in rural Galicia under Francoism.
