In the year 50 BC, all of Gaul is occupied by the Romans... All? No! A village inhabited by irreducible Gauls still resists the invader. The two most famous Gauls return in a new adventure by Jean-Yves Ferri and Didier Conrad. A mysterious teenager arrives at night in the village, escorted by two Arverni chiefs. Julius Caesar and his legionaries are looking for her, as it is rumored that the father of this enigmatic visitor is none other than the great Vercingetorix, defeated two years earlier in Alesia. This Asterix album features the usual characters and many new ones.

René Goscinny was a French comic editor and writer, who created the Asterix comic book series with illustrator Albert Uderzo. Born in France to a Jewish family from Poland, he spent his childhood in Argentina where he attended French schools and later lived in the United States for a short period of time. There he met Belgian cartoonist Morris. After his return to France, they collaborated for more than 20 years on the comic series Lucky Luke.
