«Atacayte» is the historical novel by Carlos Guillermo Domínguez, published in 1985 by SM in paperback (180 pages, in Spanish).
The novel is set in the Canary Islands during a poorly documented historical period: it follows a young warrior who fights for the freedom of his people. The action takes place before the first major Western expeditions of the 14th century, when the ancient Canarian civilization was at its height.
It belongs to the Gran Angular collection, number 55, a youth fiction line from Ediciones SM.
Aimed at a young audience, especially those seeking an epic adventure story set in the Canary Islands.
