«Au feu du jour» is Annie Leclerc's novel published by Le Livre de Poche in paperback, in French.
After quitting smoking, the narrator feels adrift and recovers everyday sensations, such as the gesture of lighting a cigarette; from these small scenes she reflects on love, writing and the possibility of starting over, all in a poetic and meditative prose.
Originally published in 1981; this edition reproduces the complete text.
