«Bajo el nombre de Norma» is the novel by Brigitte Burmeister, published by 451 Editores in paperback (286 pages, in Spanish).
Berlin, summer 1992. Marianne still lives in her old apartment in the Mitte district while her husband has moved to the west of the city, where he integrates without difficulty. To ingratiate herself with him and his new circle, she invents a false identity that links her to her past as a Stasi informant: the name Norma. The clash between East Germans' nostalgia and West Germans' condescension surfaces through that fiction.
The German original was published in 1994 under the title «Unter dem Namen Norma»; this Spanish edition includes a translation by Valentín Ugarte.
