«Bei diesem Regen» is a collection of short stories by Annemarie Schwarzenbach, published by Lenos in hardcover (248 pages, in German).
The stories, written between 1934 and 1935 after three stays by Annemarie Schwarzenbach in the Near East, combine observation of landscape with introspection. Travel, exile and identity run through narratives that vary the point of view to approach the real.
Second volume of the Ausgewählte Werke series, published in 1989; includes an afterword by Roger Perret and a bibliography on pages 245-248.
For readers interested in German interwar literature and travel stories with an introspective gaze.
