«Benvolguda» is the contemporary novel by Empar Moliner, published by Columna CAT in hardcover (232 pages, in Catalan).
Remei Duran, a prestigious illustrator, senses that her young husband, a violinist in an orchestra, will end up falling in love with the substitute violinist who rehearses at home; they don't know it yet, but she does. From that certainty, the novel addresses the vulnerability of love, the dependence of motherhood, and the expiry of artistic life, in a story about friendship, the passage of time, forgiveness, and menopause.
«Benvolguda» won the Premi Ramon Llull 2022 and was published on March 9, 2022, as number 1349 of the Clàssica collection.
For readers of contemporary fiction in Catalan looking for intimate stories about the passage of time and relationships.
