«Berserkers: El inicio» is an anthology of science fiction stories by Fred Saberhagen, published by EDB Ficción in paperback (400 pages, in Spanish).
Automated warships, the berserkers, were created by an unknown civilization and, having outlived their masters, continue to exterminate all forms of life. Humanity, spread across more than a hundred worlds, fights them relentlessly. A historian of the Carmpan species narrates this selection of stories published between 1967 and 1979.
It is the first volume of the Berserker series, published in the Nova collection, translated by Pedro Jorge Romero.
The book is aimed at fans of classic science fiction and space opera, and at readers who want to start the Berserker series from its origin.
Fred Thomas Saberhagen was an American science fiction and fantasy author most famous for his Berserker series of science fiction short stories and novels.
