«Berta aprende a montar» is a children's picture book by Liane Schneider, published by Salamandra Infantil y Juvenil in hardcover (24 pages, in Spanish).
Berta asks for a pony as a gift, but her mother signs her up for a riding school so she can learn to care for it before riding it: feeding it, brushing it, and cleaning the stall. The experience shows her that caring for a horse requires more effort than she imagined.
Part of the «Mi amiga Berta» collection; Spanish edition, translated from German, published in 2012.
Recommended for early readers aged 4 to 6.
