«Bestiario» is the illustrated album by Stéphane Poulin, in hardcover (80 pages, in Spanish).
A parade of animals, some as common as snails, appears depicted in fantastic and ironic scenes that invite us to look at the everyday with different eyes. The prologue by Jean Fugère and the illustrations by Stéphane Poulin build a visual narrative between reality and surreality, with echoes of Magritte, Hopper or Van Gogh.
The Spanish edition was published in 2005 within the «Arte» collection, with a translation by Pedro A. Almeida.
A book aimed at children and young adults, as well as those interested in illustration and painting.
Stéphane Poulin is a Canadian children's book author and illustrator living in Quebec.
