«Blauwe Maandagen» is the literary novel by Arnon Grunberg, published by Singel Uitgeverijen in paperback (270 pages, in Dutch).
The novel follows a young man in Amsterdam whose life unfolds between alcohol and visits to brothels, in a search for affection that contrasts family love with bought love. With an ironic and self-critical tone, it portrays the disorientation of Generation X and the difficulty of forming real bonds.
It is Arnon Grunberg's debut work, recognized with the Anton Wachterprijs and the Gouden Ezelsoor.
Readers of contemporary Dutch literature interested in generational portraits with irony.
