«Bocas del tiempo» is a book of short stories by Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano, published by Siglo XXI de España in paperback (347 pages, in Spanish).
Many small stories tell, together, a single story: a journey through love, childhood, water, earth, words, images, music, exile, power, fear, war and indignation. The protagonists fade away and continue in other characters who give them continuity, woven by time: mouths of time.
First edition published in Madrid in 2004; it belongs to the Biblioteca Eduardo Galeano collection, within the La creación literaria series from Siglo XXI.
For readers of short fiction and contemporary Latin American literature who want to approach the work of Eduardo Galeano.
Eduardo Germán María Hughes Galeano was a Uruguayan journalist, writer and novelist considered, among other things, "a literary giant of the Latin American left" and "global soccer's pre-eminent man of letters".
