In 'Freefall', Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel laureate in Economics, analyzes the causes and consequences of the Great Recession that affected the world after the 2008 financial crisis. Stiglitz criticizes the deficient economic policies and the lack of scruples that led to the disaster, offering alternatives for a more prosperous economy and a fairer society. This book gives voice to those who felt outraged by the actions of Wall Street and the ineffectiveness of governments to prevent the crisis.
