¿Cal é a miña cor?

Synopsis of ¿Cal é a miña cor?

«¿Cal é a miña cor?» is a children's picture book by Antoine Guilloppé, published by Xerais in hardcover (40 pages, in Galician).

A boy wonders why some Galicians call him Arab and Arabs see him as Galician, and whether his skin colour provokes that gaze. Depending on the setting, he is the Arab classmate, the neighbour of foreign origin or a Galician child. His dog helps him reflect on identity and prejudice in a book for early readers.

Published in 2006 in the Sopa de Libros collection, with illustrations by Géraldine Alibeu and Galician translation by Anaír Rodríguez Rodríguez; recommended reading age: 4 to 6 years.

For families and educators who want to address cultural diversity, migration and prejudice with children.
