«Cancións» is a poetry book by Xela Arias in collaboration with Desertores, published by Edicións Xerais in paperback (120 pages, in Galician).
Cancións brings together the lyrics Xela Arias wrote for Desertores, a rock group from Vigo, in the second half of the 1980s, along with a CD recorded by the band in July 2021 featuring all the poet's songs. The work reflects her dialogue with music; the author declared herself more influenced by rock'n'roll than by Galician poets.
The volume belongs to the «Edición Literaria - Poesía» collection from Edicións Xerais and includes a prologue by Teresa Cuíñas Lavandeira.
For readers of Galician poetry and fans of eighties rock, as well as for those who want to discover Xela Arias's musical side.
