«Cantar de ciegos» is the short story collection by Carlos Fuentes, published in 2001 by Bibliotex in hardcover (156 pages, in Spanish).
It brings together seven stories whose characters face unusual situations: forbidden relationships, encounters with the supernatural, secret affairs and adulteries. It includes «Muñeca reina» and «Un alma pura», adapted to film, and shows Carlos Fuentes's interest in the unsettling corners of private life.
The work originally appeared in 1964; this 2001 edition belongs to «Las 100 mejores novelas en castellano del siglo XX» from Biblioteca El Mundo, with a prologue by Andrés Sánchez Robayna.
