«Canzonette» is a book of nursery rhymes and songs by Nico Orengo, published by Einaudi Ragazzi in paperback (72 pages, in Italian).
«Canzonette» plays with the sound of words through alliteration, in rhymes designed to be recited aloud. Nicoletta Costa's illustrations recreate a children's world where a whale, a bee with a suitcase, smiling fruit and purple birds coexist in colorful scenes.
It is part of the Storie e rime collection from Einaudi Ragazzi. The original edition was published in 1995.
It is intended for children who are beginning to read and for sharing aloud, with sonorous rhymes and illustrations that accompany the reading.
