«Cap de nosaltres tornarà», followed by «Un coneixement inútil», is a testimonial work by Charlotte Delbo (Club Editor, paperback, 352 pp., in Catalan).
The volume brings together two works: Cap de nosaltres tornarà transports the reader to Auschwitz through Delbo's words, and Un coneixement inútil focuses on the emotions of the deported women, also marked by the execution or imprisonment of their husbands. Love and friendship among the women act as mutual care in the face of horror.
The volume belongs to the El Club dels Novel·listes collection (no. 86) and brings together two titles translated by Valèria Gaillard, edited by Maria Bohigas Sales.
Work for readers interested in historical memory, the Holocaust, and testimonial narrative written by women.
Charlotte Delbo was a French writer chiefly known for her memoirs of her time as a prisoner in Auschwitz, where she was sent for her activities as a member of the French Resistance.
