«Cap el tard - Poemes bíblics - Diari ARA» is a poetry book by Joan Alcover, published by Edicions 62 in hardcover (160 pages, in Catalan).
Two poetry collections by Joan Alcover in Catalan are gathered in this volume: Cap al tard (1909) and Poemes bíblics (1919). The author, born in Palma, championed an essentially human poetry, close to the land and its people; grief over the death of his first wife and three children found expression in the six Elegies of Cap al tard.
The 2013 edition is part of the Poetes del XX collection.
Suitable for readers of poetry in Catalan and for those wishing to discover one of the Majorcan lyrical voices of the first third of the twentieth century.
