Carajicomedia de Juan Goytisolo es una original aventura narrativa con un antecedente histórico: un fraile que apoyó a la reina Isabel La Católica. Como premio, la reina le otorgó el privilegio de disfrutar la recaudación de cuatro prostíbulos. Este fraile se transformó en personaje de novela, convirtiéndose en protagonista de la primera Carajicomedia, escrita a comienzos del siglo dieciséis por un sacerdote. Goytisolo alude a esta obra como referencia literaria con genio singular, parodiándose a sí mismo y a todas las obras y estilos en sintonía con su inspiración. Establece un contrapunto ingenioso que recuerda la riqueza formal de El Quijote de Cervantes.
