«Carlota Fainberg» is the short novel by Antonio Muñoz Molina, published by Alfaguara in hardcover (184 pages, in Spanish).
At Pittsburgh airport, two Spaniards who will never meet again share a few hours of waiting: Claudio, a literature professor, and Marcelo, an executive who confesses to him an affair lived in a Buenos Aires hotel. When he stays at that hotel, Claudio finds that the line between reality and fiction is thin; love and death coexist within it.
The novel was originally published in 1999; this edition from the Hispanica collection came out in June 2007.
