«Carta de las Islas Baladar» is the illustrated album by Jacques Prévert, with illustrations by André François, published by Kalandraka in hardcover (56 pages).
The sea protects the Baladar Islands with mists and storms, and their people live in peace until the Great Continent discovers gold in the archipelago. A general then tries to impose his law and plunder its riches. A poetic and humorous fable about greed and the exploitation of nature.
A classic from the 1950s, whose Spanish-language edition was published by Kalandraka in 2014 within the Álbum Infantil collection.
Aimed at children and young adults, with an environmentalist message that invites reflection on the protection of nature.
