«Cartes postales de Grèce» is the travel novel by Victoria Hislop, published by Le Livre de Poche in paperback (480 pages, in French).
Ellie receives postcards from Greece every week signed with the initial «A»; these images pull her out of her routine. When the mailings stop, she decides to travel to Greece to discover the sender and receives a notebook with their itinerary. The observations and anecdotes of that stranger sketch the portrait of a wounded man and of everyday Greek life.
The work was originally published in English in 2016 as «Cartes Postales from Greece»; the translation is by Alice Delarbre and the photographs by Alexandros Kakolyris.
Recommended for readers of contemporary fiction and for those who want to accompany a protagonist discovering Greece.
