In 'Cecil', Manuel Mujica Láinez presents an ingenious autobiographical novel narrated from the perspective of Cecil, a whippet dog. Cecil, gifted to the author, becomes the narrator who recounts Mujica Láinez's life during a period of creative crisis and his move to the El Paraíso estate in Córdoba. Through Cecil's eyes, the reader explores the relationship between the author and his pet, as well as the author's reflections on his own life and work.
