«Cendrillon et autres contes» is a collection of traditional tales by Sarah Hayes, published by Albin Michel in hardcover (32 pages, in French).
The volume brings together three traditional stories of French, English and German origin: Cinderella, Jack the Fool and The Queen of the Bees. The versions are adapted with simple storytelling and accompanied by illustrations that recreate the atmosphere of each tale for early readers.
It was originally published in 1985 in the «Dis-moi une histoire» collection from Albin Michel Jeunesse.
Aimed at a children's and young adult audience, it serves as a gateway to classic tales and to the illustrated editions of the 1980s.
