«Com s'esbrava la mala llet» is a short story collection by Antònia Carré-Pons, published by Club Editor in paperback (128 pages, in Catalan).
Stories about old age and parent-child relationships, with elderly characters in everyday situations that veer into the surreal: fashion shows at the nursing home, flirtations at the dance, senile dialogues. The struggle for each person's independence runs through the book, with black humor and a transparent style, far from sentimentality.
It belongs to the El Club dels Novel·listes collection, where it is number 69. It is the first edition, published in 2018.
For readers of contemporary fiction looking for stories about old age, family bonds and black humor.
