«Comentarios a la Guerra Civil» is Julius Caesar's historical chronicle of the war with Pompey, published by Alianza Editorial in paperback, in Spanish.
Julius Caesar narrates the conflict that pitted him against Pompey and the Senate, a civil war that spread across Italy, Spain and Greece. A personal testimony and a piece of political justification, it combines his decisions with the military campaigns, including the campaign in the Iberian Peninsula, and reflects the final crisis of the Roman Republic.
Original title «Commentarii de bello civili». Part of the El Libro de Bolsillo collection, within the Biblioteca de Clásicos de Grecia y Roma, with a translation by José Antonio Enríquez González.
A read for those interested in the history of Rome, classical texts and accounts of war and politics in Antiquity.
