«Cómo funciona nuestro cuerpo» is the youth nonfiction book on anatomy by Steve Parker, published by Círculo de Lectores/Plaza Joven in 1987 in hardcover (64 pages, in Spanish).
With illustrations showing the inside of the body, the work explains visually how the different systems of the human body work: the bones, the muscles, the heart or the brain. The cover shows a skeleton on which small figures work like mechanics, anticipating a descriptive and playful approach to anatomy.
The illustrations are by Giovanni Caselli, Giuliano Fornari and Sergio. The book belongs to the Ventana al Mundo collection.
Aimed at young readers and those approaching anatomy for the first time, it can serve as school support in natural sciences.
