«Con la soga al cuello» is the classic novel by Joseph Conrad, published by Espuela de Plata in paperback (208 pages, in Spanish).

Set on the coasts of northwest Sumatra, in the Far East, the novel follows the last voyage of Captain Whalley, a veteran seaman who accepts a dangerous commission to help his daughter financially. A heavy secret grips him like a noose around his neck.
