«Conexión Lorena» is the crime novel by Dominique Manotti, published by Alba Editorial in paperback (256 pages, in Spanish).
In a factory in Lorraine, an accident involving a female worker ignites a revolt among mostly North African workers: strike, occupation and fire. This social and economic thriller interweaves unjustified dismissals, exploitation, police corruption and bourgeois hypocrisy, with violence, love and sex.
Translation by Jorge Cabezas in the «Novela negra» collection from Alba Editorial. Winner of the Duncan Lawrie Dagger award for best crime novel in 2008.
For fans of crime fiction and social thrillers, with a plot about labor grievances and police corruption.
