«Contes Africains» is the collection of tales by Vladislav Stanovsky, Karel Teissig, Dagmar Doppia and Mária Kosová, published by Librairie Grund in hardcover.
A compilation of stories from African oral tradition bringing together voices from numerous tribes. More than a simple folkloric sampler, the work presents the tales as cultural expression of society: stories born from everyday life and the animal world that convey moral principles.
A 188-page volume in French from the series «Légendes et Contes», with illustrations by Karel Teissig.
Aimed at readers aged 9 to 18 who enjoy traditional tales and African folklore.
