«Contes infantils de Mercè Rodoreda» is an illustrated hardcover album with four stories by Mercè Rodoreda, published by Baula (32 pages, in Catalan).
The book brings together four short tales featuring witches and personified animals, with an endearing tone. The stories take place in beautiful landscapes that serve as the setting for these short narratives, and the album's illustrations reinforce that atmosphere of fantasy and tenderness.
The book belongs to Baula's «Àlbums» collection and was published in 2008. The illustrations are by Joan Subirana Queralt (Subi).
It is aimed at children and young readers, also for family reading and for getting started in Mercè Rodoreda's short fiction.
Mercè Rodoreda i Gurguí was a Catalan novelist, who wrote in the Catalan language.
