«Contra la izquierda» is the political essay by Jordi Gracia, published by Editorial Anagrama in paperback (72 pages, in Spanish).
Critical manifesto on the meaning of the left in the 21st century. Gracia diagnoses a crisis of credibility: the left takes refuge in self-complacency and tolerated lies; its mismatch with social changes makes it irrelevant. The essay embraces the contradiction of criticizing the left in order to remain left-wing.
Number 10 in the Nuevos cuadernos Anagrama collection, published in Barcelona in its first edition of 2018.
For readers interested in political essays and in the critical debate on the present and future of the left.
