«Converses amb Pla i Dalí» is the conversation book by Lluís Racionero, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (160 pages, in Catalan).
In these pages, Lluís Racionero evokes his encounters with Josep Pla and Salvador Dalí in the late seventies. Against the sanity of the former, the latter exudes delirium; both represent a worldliness rooted in their native corner. The book shows two ways of resolving the tension between the local and the global.
It is volume 53 of the Biografies i Memòries collection and was published in Barcelona on September 9, 2002.
It is a work for readers of biographies and essays interested in Catalan culture and in the debate between local identity and globalization.
