«Cookie's Week» is the illustrated children's book by Cindy Ward and Tomie dePaola, published by Scholastic Canada, Limited in paperback (24 pages, in English).
Cookie, a black-and-white cat, causes small disasters every day of the week: on Wednesday he knocks over the wastebasket and so on. With watercolor illustrations and one sentence per page, the book follows his mischief from Monday to Sunday and shows all the chaos a curious feline can create at home.
The work was originally published in 1988; the paperback edition from Scholastic Canada dates to 1990.
For young children and early readers: brief text, watercolor illustrations, and feline humor for reading aloud.
Thomas Anthony "Tomie" dePaola was an American writer and illustrator who created more than 260 children's books, such as Strega Nona. He received the Children's Literature Legacy Award for his lifetime contribution to American children's literature in 2011.
